Lasting power of attorney
When people write their will, many also set up a lasting power of attorney or LPA. This lets someone you trust make financial or care decisions if you can’t.
Farewill offers a simple way to put both types of LPA in place from £399, with clear guidance at every step.
Want to understand lasting power of attorney in more detail?
If you’d like a clearer picture of how an LPA works – including the different types, how to choose attorneys and what to include you can read our guide.
Get everything in place with Farewill
We guide you through putting both LPAs in place, step by step – explaining everything clearly and helping you avoid common mistakes.
Talk through your decisions with a specialist
Both LPAs prepared together for you
Clear step-by-step signing guidance
Optional check before you send your forms off
This means you stay in control — with support at each step.
What this helps with
Financial decisions – manage money, bills, pensions, savings and property.
Health and welfare decisions – make decisions about care, treatment and where you live.
Peace of mind – choose people you trust to step in if needed.
Simple, fair pricing
If you didn’t have an LPA, and someone needed to step in, they would usually need to apply to the Court of Protection – a process that can take months, sometimes over a year, and cost over £1,000.
Some people choose to use a solicitor, which can cost significantly more. With Farewill, you get the reassurance of guidance from a specialist, with simple and transparent pricing.
From £399
Farewill offers a guided service to help you put both types of LPA in place, from £399 per person, including preparing your documents and guiding you through each step.

There is also a £92 government fee per LPA to register your documents with the Office of the Public Guardian (£184 in total per person, for both documents).
What's included?
A guided appointment with a specialist, and preparation of both LPA documents
Drafts sent for your review, followed by a printed LPA pack delivered to your home
A clear, step-by-step signing guide, with an optional signature check before submission
A pre-paid label to send your documents to the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) for registration
To keep things simple and transparent, there are a few parts of the process you’ll still take care of yourself. You’ll need to register your LPA with the OPG, pay the government registration fee, and arrange for your documents to be signed and witnessed.
We guide you through each step clearly, but it’s important to know that this is a guided service, not legal advice.
