Choosing your attorneys

Your attorneys should be people you trust to look after your health and finances, and they’ll also need to be over 18. You can choose up to four attorneys if you wish, but most people appoint two along with a couple of backups.

  • Decide who you want to appoint as your attorneys – you can choose different people as your health and financial attorneys if you wish
  • Your attorneys’ full names, dates of birth and addresses
  • Your backup attorneys’ full names, dates of birth and addresses

What happens next?

We’ll be in touch soon for your appointment, then we’ll write up your LPAs and post them to you within 10 working days. We’ll also explain what to do to make them legally valid.

If you have any questions at all, please give us a call on 020 3318 7844.
